1. Agreement
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of TubPlayer ("the App"), developed and published by Tubs Software ("we", "us", "our"). By installing, accessing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
2. Description of the App
TubPlayer is an IPTV media player application for Android TV. It enables you to connect to IPTV services using credentials you supply, browse channel guides, manage watch history and favourites, and back up your configuration locally or to Google Drive.
3. Your Responsibilities
3.1 Content Sources
You are solely responsible for the IPTV services and content sources you connect to through the App. You must ensure that your use of any third-party IPTV service complies with all applicable laws, regulations, and licensing requirements in your jurisdiction.
3.2 Credentials
You are responsible for the security and accuracy of any credentials (server addresses, usernames, passwords, playlist URLs) you enter into the App. These are encrypted and stored on your device only — we cannot access or recover them.
3.3 Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to derive the source code of the App
- Redistribute, sublicense, rent, lease, or lend the App to third parties
- Use the App to infringe any third party's intellectual property rights
- Misrepresent the App's origin or your affiliation with Tubs Software
4. Licence
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the App on devices you own or control, for your personal, non-commercial use.
All intellectual property rights in the App, including its design, code, icons, and documentation, remain the property of Tubs Software.
5. Purchases & Refunds
The App is available as a paid purchase on the Google Play Store. All purchases are processed by Google and are subject to Google Play's Terms of Service and refund policies. We do not process payments directly.
6. Google Drive Integration
If you choose to connect your Google account for cloud backup, you authorise the App to create, read, and delete backup files that the App itself has created in your Google Drive (using the drive.file scope). The App cannot access any other files in your Google Drive.
You can disconnect Google Drive at any time from the App's settings. Disconnecting does not automatically delete previously created backup files — you can remove those directly from your Google Drive.
7. Third-Party Services
The App interacts with the following third-party services:
- Your IPTV provider — to stream content and fetch channel listings (configured by you)
- TMDB — to enrich content with metadata such as posters, plots, and ratings
- Firebase Crashlytics — to collect anonymous crash reports (see Privacy Policy)
- Google Drive — for optional cloud backup of your app data
We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or operation of any third-party service. Each third-party service is governed by its own terms and privacy policies.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
We do not warrant that the App will be compatible with all devices, available at all times, error-free, or that defects will be corrected within any specific timeframe. We do not warrant the availability or quality of any content accessible through third-party IPTV services.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall Tubs Software be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, use, or profits, arising out of or in connection with your use of the App.
Our total liability for any claim arising from or relating to the App shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App.
10. Content Disclaimer
We do not host, transmit, provide, or control any audio, video, or other content accessible through the App. All such content originates from third-party IPTV providers configured by you.
If you believe that content accessible through an IPTV service infringes your rights, you should contact the IPTV provider directly. We have no ability to remove, modify, or control third-party content.
11. Termination
You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it from your device. Uninstalling removes all locally stored data.
We reserve the right to discontinue the App or revoke your licence at any time, with or without notice, for any reason, including if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms.
Upon termination, Sections 8, 9, 10, and 13 shall survive.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page will be updated accordingly. Material changes will be communicated through the App or the Google Play Store listing. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
13. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, without regard to conflict of law principles.
14. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
